Included in prevention services are immunizations, well-child checks, electrocardiograms, blood pressure screening, among others. Testing services screen for HIV, STD, tuberculosis, Hepatitis B and other communicable diseases. Monitoring services include: mammograms, Pap smears, HPV screening, colonoscopies and PSA tests; blood tests for high cholesterol, high blood sugar and lead; and vision and hearing tests. Recognizing that patients with chronic diseases suffer from clinical depression more than the general population, those patients are screened for depression, as a first step toward successful disease management.
